WHAT DOES ACP MEAN?

ACP (Autologous Conditioned Plasma) comes from your own blood and contains high concentrations of platelets and growth factors that help your tissue heal and grow new cells. ACP is obtained by drawing a small amount of blood from your arm into a sterile tube. The tube is centrifuged to separate your platelets and plasma, the portion of the blood that we use for the treatment, from your red and white blood cells. Since ACP is derived from your own blood, there is no risk of allergic reaction or other side effects.

When ACP is used with microneedling, it is able to penetrate deep into your skin through the tiny channels created by the microneedles. As a result, the ACP supercharges the microneedling benefits. PREPARATION FOR TREATMENT

1. You should avoid any blood-thinning medicines like ibuprofen, aspirin, or St. John’s Wort for at least a week before your treatment. These medicines can increase the risk of bruising and bleeding.
2. You should also avoid sun exposure for at least a week before your treatment. Sun exposure can make the skin more sensitive and increase the risk of side effects.
3. On the day of your treatment, you should arrive with clean skin free from beauty products or makeup.

HOW DOES ACP FACIAL WORK?

Before your treatment begins, we will draw a small amount of blood from your arm to treat in the centrifuge. Your aesthetician will apply a numbing cream to your skin to minimize discomfort during the procedure. Microneedling is a quick and easy procedure that can be done in the comfort of our office. The treatment usually takes between 30 minutes and 1 hour, depending on the areas being treated.

We will use a device with small needles to create tiny punctures in the top layer of your skin.

As the needles pierce the skin, they create tiny channels. These channels will help the regenerative properties in the ACP penetrate deep into the skin. Next, the ACP serum is applied to the treatment area to be absorbed.

RECOVERY FROM AN ACP FACIAL 

After microneedling with ACP, you may experience some redness and swelling. These side effects are temporary and should resolve within a few days. You can use ice to help reduce any discomfort.

• You should avoid sun exposure and wear sunscreen when you are outdoors. Sun exposure can cause the skin to become irritated and delay the healing process.
• You should also avoid using harsh skincare products or cosmetics for at least a week after the treatment. These products can irritate the skin and cause side effects.
• It is also important to avoid touching or scratching the treated area. This can cause the skin to become infected and delay the healing process.
